This is the cockpit as I found it. The teak veneer on the gangway door is cracked and peeling, the laminated tiller is weathered where the varnish has worn thin, the compass globe has glazed over due to UV damage, and the gel coat is dull and yellowed. That's the bad news. The good news is there is plenty of work to do and I can't wait to get my hands dirty.
